Last weekend was ANZAC Day… and not only did we remembers those who fought for this country in centuries gone, a group of us from the Marketplace Church went camping and it was FUN!

I discovered my body doesn’t really like sleeping on the ground… so i wasn’t up for the 2 or 4 hour hikes… but i did checkout the lookouts and take my camera to document it!

Here is what I saw!

It’s been a busy week, i’ve been on my adventure 1 whole week, and today is my first full day of just chilling out! I celebrated my birthday on the 11th (July) with two of my best friends here in Oregon, Ashley and Jessie. And it was definitely a birthday to remember! We spent a few hours on the road heading to the Beachside State Park, Camping ground just south of Waldport, OR. So the direct drive is around 4 hrs, but due to the 3 of us stopping for Wine Tasting in Dundee Hills (Argyle Winery), Starbucks Iced Coffee at least twice, Dairy Queen and of course the mandatory restroom stops, we arrived 5-6hrs after our departure. But what better than to spend 6hrs in a car, singing, laughing, talking and reminiscing with two of your best friends, whom up until 1 day prior, i hadnt seen them for a LONG time! (it’s true, i last saw Ash over 4.5yrs ago, and Jessie i last saw about 10months ago)

So, anyway… this blog is just going to include this one picture! Saturday morning we headed to the beach after a hearty breakfast, but it was WINDY! but then found a little cove that was sheltered from the wind… we claimed it as our spot for pretty much the whole day! This pic i took after climbing over a few rocks and old tree stumps… Just before i dropped my lens cap in the little creek. Its ok, i retrieved it and it was barely damaged! more to come… in the days ahead!

PS, for those of you north americans who read this… I experienced my first Smore while camping. haha yum!
