ABOUT ME
My name is Kellie and I love to take pictures!
I grew up in a small country town about 4hrs from Adelaide (the nearest big city). My family moved to Adelaide when I was just 10 yrs old, and though i've spent the past 16yrs living on the outskirts on our state capital I still consider myself a country girl. I love to travel, and have been to Japan, Indonesia, USA, Turkey, Thailand, England, Scotland and Canada with a few additional countries if I include all the stopovers en-route.
I've been taking pictures for about as long as I can remember... I had numerous compact cameras before the world went digital, I remember getting my first digital camera back when its was cool to have 1.0MP but it wasn't until I bought my first digital SLR camera in Dec 2005 that I started to get serious with photography. I would pretty much shoot anything and everything, my early collections had LOTS of flowers and landscapes as I didn't have many people around that liked the camera. The ball started rolling when I was working with a Christian Missions organisation and was approached to take pictures for family newsletters, support packages and an engagement session.
Early in 2007 some friends asked me to photograph their wedding and was soon followed by two other couples requesting me to photograph their weddings all in 2007 I didn't think much of it... Then 2008 arrived and with it came requests for four more weddings, all of which required extensive travel. I LOVE to travel and have been to many different cities... so if you're looking at my pictures and interested in booking me to document your wedding, and you don't live in South Australia, don't let that stop you from enquiring... shoot me an email and i'm sure we can work something out! I've done weddings all over the place... Perth & Sydney Australia, New Mexico & Pennsylvania in the USA to list a few.
I never expected a hobby would turn to a business, but it's so much fun to do what you love as a profession!
I currently live in the southern suburbs of Adelaide, South Australia.
